Up Coming Class At Grandma's Attic

CANDLE MAKING!

Wednesday July 29 from 6 to 8pm. Explore the unique and wonderful properties of natural waxes and essential oils as used in candle making.

We will walk you through the basics of candle making, using soy or beeswax. This hands on course is for beginners. Learn essential methods to make container candles of your own. We'll cover safety, wax melting temperatures, choosing the right wick for your project, coloring, scenting and more.

Cost is $40 per person and includes, instruction, materials, and handouts.

Art Class

We had our first class at Grandma's Attic.

Greta George from Nature's Way Acrylics hosted a beginners painting class. Greta is a local Bartlett artist who uses Acrylic paints to paint landscapes and local wildlife on wooden plaques. Our first class was a winter landscape scene. Thanks to our wonderful instructor Greta and thanks to all who attended. Here is my painting, not bad for someone who can barely draw a stick figure without assistance. My family doesn't believe I actually did this.
